WA

The WA (Wifi) phone is a Wifi only phone intended to support SIP and VOIP services as a house phone. While house phones are no longer popular, one that can connect to Wifi, and use standard SIP services might be an option worth considering. The WA is an affordable reasonably priced/feature phone running on the latest version of Android with a 5 year OS commitment. In addition, the phone (with a base station) can support old copper line services using a Eco-DECT access point. The specs are as follows:

  • Android OS
  • 6.5″ 16:9 1200 nits, and 120hz variable refresh rate phone
  • 8GB of memory, 128GB-1TB storage, no expandable storage
  • Qualcomm mid-range APU
  • Function Button
  • 12MP front camera, 2 48MP rear cameras
  • Power button with fingerprint reader
  • DECT (with base station), Wifi, Bluetooth, and NFC
  • USB-C, and Qi Charging, 5000mAh battery

Obviously, there will be the most recent version of Android OS. There will be light modifications on the OS which will allow for better OS and security updates. My PC company will commit to at least 5 years of OS updates – therefore making your investment in the phone a good one.

The screen will be a 6.5″ screen which will be a sweet spot by being average. Many should find this size as manageable while still offering a good screen. The phone will have 1200 nits of brightness which will be above average for a budget phone, but there is no point in buying a phone if you have to find shade to use it. There will also be variable refresh rate of 120hz. This will allow you to use the fluidity of the higher refresh rate while slowing down, to conserve battery.

There will be 8GB of memory. This will handle the demands of AI, and also have more memory to do whatever other task that is required. Storage is from 256GB – 2TB to provide for professional quality standard and allow for large video or photo domands.

FSP PCs will use the mid-range quality of Qualcomm’s chips intended for smartphones. This will extend the life of the phone as it will be relevant longer, and handle the more demanding tasks such as editing, or gaming.

Simply put, there will be support for 1 phone line (with access point), and support for standard SIP accounts. This phone will Eco-DECT, and can support up to 9 accounts + 1 FXO. By offering the ability to support multiple accounts will allow for a complete function platform.

Above the volume keys will be a function button. This button can perform a number of tasks depending. Each of the following will do an action as defined by the consumer.

1 quick press
1 long press
2 quick presses
In the front will be a 12MP camera. This will allow for video calls, and taking selfie pictures. The 3 cameras in the rear will be a standard camera, Wide-Angle, and Telephoto camera. This should meet most if not all of the demands of a smartphone photo taker.

The power button will also function as a fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. There will still be a PIN, but this will not be needed as often – only for system changes which should be done in the privacy of the home.

The phone will support cellular 5G, and LTE, Wifi, Bluetooth and NFC. All will be at the current standards – therefore increasing the longevity of the phone.

USB-C, and Qi Charging will be able to charge the 5000mAh battery. With efficiency in the OS and processor, there should be at least a day battery life with moderate usage. The phone will also support quick charging when plugged into a compatible charging b
