PDAs

These devices will run the Android Operating System, but will not be able to make telephone calls. In those instances, you would want to refer to the phones section. Some people might ask what is a PDA, and why a company would want to make one.

A PDA is a device that runs an operating system. This device has a calendar, contact manager, and other tools. It can play music and videos. This sounds like a smartphone, and you would be correct. The only difference between a PDA and a smartphone is the smartphone can make and receive calls. So why would someone want a PDA? Well, for convenience. A PDA can be your music player so your phone’s batter doesn’t drain. It can allow you to access your contacts without having to pull out your phone. This is definitely a niche market, and there was one time Apple made a PDA which they called the iPod touch. Obviously, the main focus was a media player, but it did everything a PDA can do.
