ARM CPUs are typically more energy efficient than the more common x86 CPUs. This will mean that all systems will use Qualcomm, or some similar CPU for the devices. With the choice of ARM CPUs, the in-house OS will also be able to have a better kernel with less of a need for compatibility. This will mean that there does not need to be support for x86 CPUs in the PC, or handhelds.
